You are at Home -> Life Style

A small poison in every home, most used and neglected one is using Mosquito Coils. I know, people almost it is hazardous to the health, but one should look for the alternatives.

I read a statement from one of the site, "Burning one mosquito coil in a closed room amounts to smoking roughly 100 cigarettes". Even in the modern world, if we use the non-smoking mosquito liquids, we are slowly ingesting to the body the chemicals in the liquid coils.

About:
Mosquito coils(liquid) contains the chemical substance called the Pyrethroid, an insecticide helps in killing the mosquito's. It is treated as a low toxicity substance.

Alternatives:
1. Use of Mosquito Nets, which is a safe and standard use.
2. Burning the Indian Bay leaves/powder(Biryani leaves) in the bedroom.
3. Put a Camphor beside the bed.
4. Some oils help to prevent from the mosquito bites, but it is a hectic task to keep oil to the body everyday.

If you have any suggestions to prevent mosquito bites instead of coils, please mention in the comments section.
